Healthy hooves -lameness treatment and prevention farm workshop

This practical farm workshop, is for farmers; managers and staff who wish to gain or refresh knowledge about effective treatment of lame cows and prevention of lameness on farm. Participants will work with veterinarian Dr Tom Loughnan to

• Learn how to recognise, restrain and treat lame cows.
• Gain insights into how cow behaviour, stockmanship and track design influence herd lameness

Resources (Healthy Hooves manual and field guide) will be given to all participants to take home.

Lunch will be provided and there is no charge to attend this workshop. Please register today to assist with planning catering and resources for this workshop.

PLEASE RESPECT FARM BIOSECURITY BY WEARING CLEAN FOOTWEAR AND PROTECTIVE CLOTHING TO THIS WORKSHOP. There will be a disinfectant footbath to walk through before participating in the practical session on farm.
