Overview of the Dairy Australia Safety Handbook
Dairy Safely, Home Safely
Everyone wants a safe place to live and work
The challenge with dairy farms is that they are workplaces, and often also places where families live. For the people working on the farm, there are some very busy periods, long days, a wide range of weather conditions and the requirement to handle large animals and work with potentially hazardous equipment, environments and substances.
This 2-hour course will discuss farm safety on your farm, step you through a Farm Safety snapshot to get a better understanding of where your farm is currently sitting with safety practices. It will also briefly cover 15 key safety topics that you should be aware of and provide an overview of the Dairy Australia Farm Safety Manual.
