How we operate
Regional focus
Dairy Australia has regional teams that are part of dairy communities in Gippsland, Murray, New South Wales, South Australia, Subtropical, Tasmania, Western Australia and Western Victoria.
Our regional teams have expertise in working with local dairy farm businesses to understand their needs, delivering services to meet these needs and driving local industry activities. They are governed by a Regional Development Program Board comprising members from local dairy farm businesses and industry.
National approach
Regions are supported by a national team of specialists across strategy, research, development, sustainability, policy support, international trade, marketing and communications.
Dairy Australia’s Board governs strategy, investment and performance of the organisation to meet the needs of dairy farm businesses and industry.
Funding
We are funded by levies paid by dairy farm businesses and matching payments received from the Commonwealth Government for eligible research and development activities. Our core funding also allows us to attract additional external funding for key programs of work.
