The Young Dairy Network provides opportunities for young people looking to develop their skills and create valuable connections to further their career in dairy.
More than 2,500 young dairy professionals have joined the Young Dairy Network – gaining access to training, farm walks, social events, workshops, leadership programs, industry connections and more.

The DairyTAS Young Dairy Network helps its members develop professionally – while ensuring they are supported nationally via a forum for sharing information, exchanging ideas and staying connected.
This valuable initiative is for people aged 16 – 35, who are:

Young Dairy Network groups operate in all Tasmanian dairying regions, including the north-east, central-north and north-west. There is the opportunity to have a other regional groups in the south and on King Island, depending on interest.
Regional groups are driven by local farmers to ensure activities meet the needs of the local community. The network is a collaborative effort amongst the state's industry stakeholders.
The groups aim to:

Assist the next generation of dairy farmers to further develop their skill sets

Assist younger farmers in dealing with issues specific to their needs

Encourage enthusiasm and motivation to young people in the dairy industry

Provide inspiration to young farmers and new entrants to stay within the industry
