This funding will bolster GRO Rural’s efforts in expanding the GRO Rural Service Provider Registry, with a particular focus on enhancing services for the dairy industry.
The GRO Rural platform serves as a digital bridge, linking dairy professionals, service providers, and agricultural businesses in remote regions with resources, opportunities, and critical networking connections. With this grant, GRO Rural will continue to empower skilled professionals by increasing their visibility and access to farm businesses across the dairy sector.
According to Managing Director Dimity Smith, GRO Rural was founded to meet the unique networking and recruitment needs of the rural sector. “Existing platforms like LinkedIn or traditional recruitment agencies simply don’t cater to the rural space, where personal connections and specialised skills are essential. We’re focused on creating a more digitally connected and prosperous future for dairy communities and beyond,” said Smith.
In line with its mission to strengthen and sustain the dairy industry, GRO Rural’s efforts are a promising step toward expanding into other agricultural areas such as cotton, grains, and livestock. This development underlines GRO Rural’s dedication to making regional Australia more resilient, connected, and prepared for future challenges.
The Innovate with nbn® Grants Program, now in its fifth year, aims to support regional Australian businesses that are innovators and digital champions in their communities.
