Annual General Meeting

Dairy Australia’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on 27 November 2025 in Wollongong, New South Wales.

About the AGM

The AGM is an opportunity for farmers to connect and engage with the Dairy Australia team, hear more on the value delivered to farmers, ask questions, and vote on the election of directors and other important items. Register to attend in person below.

There is also the option to join the AGM online – more information will be available closer to the date.

This year, Dairy Australia is partnering with Dairy Research Foundation (DRF) Symposium, also being held in Wollongong. More information and tickets for the Symposium, dinner and farm visit are available via the DRF event page.

There are currently three vacancies on the Dairy Australia Board. Farmers are encouraged to participate in the director election process.

All dairy farm business operators are eligible to become members of Dairy Australia and vote at the AGM.

AGM items of business

There are four items for discussion at the AGM.

  1. Annual Financial Report.
  2. Election of Directors.
  3. Amendment to constitution in relation the Board Selection Committee composition and process.
  4. That Australian Dairy Products Federation (ADPF) be removed as a Group B member.

For more information, see the Notice of Meeting below.

Item 3 – Amendment to constitution

In relation to Item 3, which is the proposal to change the Dairy Australia constitution in relation to the Board Selection Committee, the board’s position is that:

  • The proposed changes will modernise how board directors are selected and bring the process in line with best practice.
  • The changes will ensure farmers are well represented on the committee and position Dairy Australia for future success.

The board recommends members vote in favour of this special resolution.

Review the details of proposed changes in this marked up version of the Dairy Australia Constitution.

Item 4 – Removal of ADPF

In relation to Item 4, which is the proposal to remove Australian Dairy Products Federation as a Group B member, the board’s position is that:

  • This decision should be made solely by dairy farmers (Group A members), as the primary funders of Dairy Australia.

While the board is supportive of this being put to vote, the board will not provide a view on this resolution and will leave the decision entirely to a vote by dairy farmers.
